Sibford Gower Primary School

Virtual Tour

Sibford Gower Primary School is located in the North Oxfordshire village of Siford Gower.
The first school was bu
ilt in 1623 by the Sibford Gower Town Estates Charity. In 1866, the first school room was pulled down, and the one around which the present school is based was built. By 1900, a new classroom was added and up to 100 children attended the school. In July 1968 a new open-plan building was completed across the main village road. Since then, three small extensions have been added to the school. In 1978, an extension was added to the front of the new school and, in 1981, a meeting room was built at the rear of the new building. In 1993, the school trustees provided a fifth classroom. The year 2000 saw the building of a third classroom on the new school site.

There are extensive sports fields behind the new sch
